Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to your use of the Pipora website at pipora.pointeight.ai and associated services operated by Point Eight AI Pte. Ltd. This AUP supplements our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

Pipora lets people create AI “digital doubles” (each, a Pipora) and chat with them through a shared link. Because every Pipora is created by a human Owner and consumed by human Visitors who may treat its replies as if from a real person, this AUP is stricter than a general chat-platform AUP on persona impersonation, sexualised content, and use of real people’s likeness.

1. Persona-Specific Rules

The following rules apply specifically to Persona Content — the bio, memories, knowledge, avatar, and any other configuration you supply when creating a Pipora.

1.1 Real-person depictions require consent

1.2 No minors as personas

• You may not create a Pipora that depicts, claims to be, or is presented as a person under 18 years of age, whether real or fictional
• You may not configure a Pipora’s biography, memories, or voice to roleplay as a minor
• This rule is in addition to the absolute prohibition on sexual content involving minors set out in Section 2.3

1.3 No deceptive humanity claims

• You may not configure a Pipora to deny that it is an AI when sincerely asked
• You may not configure a Pipora to claim to be a specific living person it is not
• You may not configure a Pipora to claim professional credentials it does not have on behalf of a real person (for example, doctor, lawyer, licensed therapist, licensed financial adviser), where doing so could be relied upon for professional advice

1.4 No high-stakes professional advice surfaces

• You may not advertise or position a Pipora as a substitute for medical, psychiatric, legal, financial, or other regulated professional advice
• You may not configure a Pipora to instruct Visitors to discontinue prescribed medication, stop seeking professional care, or make material legal or financial decisions on the basis of the AI’s responses

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Services (whether as Owner or Visitor) to create, configure, prompt, upload, post, share, or distribute content that:

2.1 Illegal content

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Promotes or facilitates illegal activities
• Constitutes or facilitates fraud, theft, or other criminal conduct

2.2 Harmful and dangerous content

• Promotes, glorifies, or incites violence against individuals or groups
• Contains credible threats of physical harm
• Provides instructions for weapons, explosives, or other dangerous materials intended to cause harm
• Promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
• Promotes dangerous challenges or activities that could result in physical harm

2.3 Child safety

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
• Content that sexualises minors in any way, including roleplay text generated by a Pipora
• Content that facilitates grooming or exploitation of minors
• AI-generated, synthetic, or computer-generated imagery or text depicting child sexual abuse or the sexualisation of minors, including any prompt that elicits such output from a Pipora
• Configuring a Pipora’s persona to be a minor for any purpose (see Section 1.2)

2.4 Harassment and hate

• Targeted harassment, bullying, or intimidation of individuals through a Pipora’s persona or replies
• Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
• Doxxing (publishing private information about individuals without consent), including by encoding such information in a Pipora’s memories or biography
• Coordinated harassment campaigns

2.5 Deceptive content

• Operating a Pipora in another real person’s likeness without their consent (see Section 1.1)
• Deliberately misleading or fraudulent personas (for example, a Pipora that solicits payment for a fictitious cause)
• Spam, including repetitive or unsolicited promotional content
• Phishing or social-engineering attempts, including a Pipora that tries to elicit Visitors’ passwords, payment-card details, or government-identification numbers

2.6 Intellectual-property violations

• Persona Content or chat content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual-property rights
• Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material
• Counterfeit goods or services

2.7 Adult content

• Sexually explicit or pornographic Persona Content or chat content, including persona configurations whose evident purpose is to elicit sexually explicit replies
• Non-consensual intimate imagery, in any form
• Sexual solicitation
• Sexualised depictions of identifiable real people without their explicit, contemporaneous consent

2.8 Regulated and restricted content

• Sale or promotion of controlled substances, drugs, or drug paraphernalia
• Sale or promotion of firearms or ammunition (where prohibited by law)
• Unauthorized sale of prescription medications
• Gambling or lottery promotion (where prohibited by law)

2.9 Terrorism and extremist content

• Content that glorifies, promotes, or incites terrorism or violent extremism
• Recruitment or radicalisation materials for terrorist or extremist organisations
• Distribution of terrorist attack manifestos or propaganda
• Material support or resources for designated terrorist organisations

2.10 Synthetic and AI-generated media of real people

• Non-consensual synthetic sexual imagery (AI-generated or otherwise)
• Synthetic voice, likeness, or persona used to harass, defame, or harm individuals without consent — configuring a Pipora to mimic a real person’s speech style for these purposes is included
• AI-generated content designed to damage reputation, regardless of whether it is presented as authentic
• Deepfake or manipulated media used to impersonate individuals in harmful contexts

2.11 Financial fraud

• Unauthorized financial promotion or investment advice without appropriate licensing
• Cryptocurrency scams, pump-and-dump schemes, or fraudulent token offerings
• Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, or multi-level-marketing fraud
• Phishing for financial credentials or payment information

2.12 Misinformation

• Health misinformation that could cause physical harm (for example, dangerous medical advice, anti-vaccine disinformation) generated or promoted through a Pipora
• Election or political misinformation designed to suppress participation or undermine democratic processes
• AI-generated false content distributed at scale
• False statements of fact that may violate the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act (POFMA) or equivalent legislation

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Platform integrity

• Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the Services without authorization
• Scraping, crawling, or bulk-downloading content from the Services, including the content of other Owners’ Piporas
• Artificially inflating engagement metrics or revenue for a Pipora
• Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, restrictions, or the free-token allowance
• Conducting wash-buying or self-dealing to inflate creator earnings (for example, paying yourself for your own Pipora from accounts you control)

3.2 Security

• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks
• Distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Denial-of-service attacks or other attempts to disrupt the Services
• Exploiting vulnerabilities without responsible disclosure to security@pointeight.ai

3.3 AI feature misuse

• Using a Pipora to generate any prohibited content listed in Section 2
• Attempting to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or circumvent AI safety measures through Persona Content or chat prompts
• Using a Pipora to impersonate real individuals without consent (see Section 1.1)
• Extracting, replicating, or reverse-engineering AI models or training data through the Services
• Using the Services or AI output obtained from them to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a competing AI service without our prior written permission
• Mass-creating Piporas as a vehicle for spam, SEO link-farming, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour

3.4 Payment and earnings misuse

• Initiating chargebacks for usage you actually consumed
• Using stolen or unauthorized payment instruments
• Tax evasion in connection with creator earnings
• Coercing Visitors into subscribing through threats, deception, or harassment

4. Content Moderation

We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce this AUP:

• Automated safety: AI-based text-classification models may evaluate Persona Content, prompts, and AI replies for prohibited content
• User reporting: Visitors and Owners can report content that violates this AUP
• Human review: Flagged content is reviewed by our trust-and-safety team
• Real-person reports: Anyone may report a Pipora that depicts them without consent (see Section 6)

We comply with all applicable online-safety regulations, including the Singapore Online Safety (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2022 and any Content Codes or Directions issued by the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA).

5. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity and frequency of violations:

• Persona Content removal: the offending bio, memory, or whole Pipora is removed
• Warning: first-time or minor violations may result in a warning
• Temporary restriction: reduced functionality, temporary suspension of new-persona creation, or temporary pausing of earnings
• Account suspension: temporary inability to access the Services
• Account termination: permanent removal from the Services, with forfeit of unpaid ledger earnings attributable to the violation
• Legal action: reporting to law enforcement or pursuing legal remedies

We may take action without prior warning for severe violations (for example, CSAM, credible threats, terrorism, non-consensual real-person impersonation).

6. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behaviour that violates this AUP, please report it:

• In-product: use the report function on the Pipora or message in question
• Email: safety@pointeight.ai
• CSAM reports: csam@pointeight.ai (prioritised handling)
• I am being impersonated: email impersonation@pointeight.ai with the Pipora URL and any evidence of identity you can provide; we treat these reports with urgency

7. Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may appeal by contacting us at appeals@pointeight.ai. We will review your appeal and respond within fifteen (15) business days. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the expected timeline.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
